Unlike a site icon or a favicon, a logo is only visible on website pages like the home page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\" style=\"background: #e5f5fa;border-left: 5px solid #00a0d2;padding: 1.5em 3em 1.6em 3.7em;margin-bottom: 1.5em\"><p><em><strong>Note:<\/strong> <\/em>The Site Logo block is primarily used when editing the Template files in the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/article\/site-editor\/\">Site Editor<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to use the Site Logo block<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To add a <em>Site Logo<\/em> block, create a new page or open the Site Editor. Select the icon and pick one of the following alignment options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>None \u2013 is the default block size.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Align left \u2013 makes the block left-aligned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Align center \u2013 lets you align the block to the center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Align right \u2013 makes the block right-aligned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Apply duotone filter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"704\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/duotone.png\" alt=\"The apply duotone filter option\" class=\"wp-image-16356608\" style=\"width:528px;height:75px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/duotone.png 704w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/duotone-300x43.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 704px) 100vw, 704px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Apply duotone filter<\/strong> option lets you create a two-tone color effect on the site logo without changing the original image. Note that the duotone effect works best on high-contrast images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply the duotone filter, click the icon and choose the two colors from the provided duotone presets. You can create custom duotone colors using the Shadows and Highlights options. Choose from the provided color presets on each option, or use the color picker to set the custom colors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to undo all the changes, use the Clear button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Crop<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"704\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/crop.png\" alt=\"The crop button\" class=\"wp-image-16356609\" style=\"width:528px;height:75px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/crop.png 704w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/crop-300x43.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 704px) 100vw, 704px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the <strong>Crop<\/strong> icon to adjust the site logo image. When clicked, it will display a set of tools for cropping the image. Below is a list of the Crop tools:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Zoom \u2013 enlarges the image by up to 300%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aspect Ratio \u2013 modifies the image\u2019s aspect ratio with the choices in the dropdown list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rotate \u2013 revolves around the site logo image.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply \u2013 confirms or keeps the site logo image customization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cancel \u2013 discards any changes to the site logo image.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Crop button only appears in the block toolbar after you have inserted an image into the <em>Site Logo<\/em> block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Replace<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"704\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/replace.png\" alt=\"The replace button\" class=\"wp-image-16356610\" style=\"width:528px;height:75px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/replace.png 704w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/replace-300x43.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 704px) 100vw, 704px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Replace <\/strong>option lets you change the site logo by choosing another image from the Media Library or uploading a new one from your local computer. A drop-down menu will appear when you click it, and below is a list of actions you can do with the <em>Site Logo <\/em>block:.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#e5f5fa\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/article\/more-options\/\">Read detailed information about the Other settings.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Block settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>WordPress blocks have specific configuration options in the block settings panel. To access the <em>Site Logo<\/em> block settings panel, click the Settings button at the top-right corner of the editor. Here are the steps you can do with this settings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click Add media to add an image to the\u00a0<em>Site Logo<\/em>\u00a0block.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once an image has been added, click the image name to update the image.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You have three options to do so: select an image from the media library, upload a new image, or remove the image by resetting the media.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"419\" height=\"540\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/settings.png\" alt=\"The block settings options\" class=\"wp-image-16356612\" style=\"width:314px;height:405px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/settings.png 419w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/settings-233x300.png 233w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 419px) 100vw, 419px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Change the image width using the slider or typing a numeric value in the text field next to the slider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enable the <strong>Link image to home<\/strong> option to make a hyperlink to your website\u2019s home page. This option is turned on by default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turn on the <strong>Open in new tab<\/strong> option to automatically open the home page in a new tab when the site logo image is clicked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Activate the <strong>Use as site icon<\/strong> option to set the site logo image as the site icon. A site icon is a small image next to the site title in a web browser tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that this option is only available after you add an image to the <em>Site Logo<\/em> block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Advanced<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"414\" height=\"233\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/css.png\" alt=\"The advanced custom CSS option\" class=\"wp-image-16356613\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/css.png 414w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/04\/css-300x169.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 414px) 100vw, 414px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Advanced section lets you add CSS class(es) to the <em>Site Logo<\/em> block. The initial configuration for the block\u2019s style is Default.
