WordPress 6.3 RC3 is ready for download and testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This version of the WordPress software is under development.<\/strong> Please do not install, run, or test this version on production or mission-critical websites.<\/strong> Instead, you should evaluate RC3 on a test server and site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The WordPress 6.3 release is scheduled for August 8, 2023\u2014just one week away. Now is your last opportunity to test it before the general release. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s new since RC2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since the RC2 release on July 25, 2023, there have been approximately 14 issues resolved in Github<\/a> and Trac<\/a>. To prepare for 6.3 general availability, RC3 also addresses several bugs<\/a> and adds fixes for retrieving templates (#4940<\/a>) and resolving child theme issues (#53138<\/a>).
