As teased earlier<\/a>, the first release candidate for WordPress 3.9 is now available for testing!<\/p>\n

We hope to ship WordPress 3.9 next week<\/em>, but we need your help to get there.\u00a0If you haven\u2019t tested 3.9 yet, there\u2019s no time like the present. (Please, not on a production site, unless you\u2019re adventurous.)<\/p>\n

To test WordPress 3.9 RC1, try the\u00a0WordPress Beta Tester<\/a>\u00a0plugin (you\u2019ll want \u201cbleeding edge nightlies\u201d). Or you can\u00a0download the release candidate here<\/a>\u00a0(zip).\u00a0If you\u2019d like to learn more about what\u2019s new in WordPress 3.9, visit the work-in-progress About screen in your dashboard (\"\"\u00a0\u2192 About<\/strong>\u00a0in the toolbar) and check out the Beta 1 post<\/a>.<\/p>\n
