We&#8217;ve made <a href=\"https:\/\/core.trac.wordpress.org\/log?rev=29496&amp;stop_rev=29229&amp;limit=300\">more than 250 changes<\/a> in the past month, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Further improvements to the editor scrolling experience, especially when it comes to the second column of boxes.<\/li>\n<li>Better handling of small screens in the media library modals.<\/li>\n<li>A separate bulk selection mode for the media library grid view.<\/li>\n<li>Improvements to the installation language selector.<\/li>\n<li>Visual tweaks to plugin details and customizer panels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We need your help<\/strong>.\u00a0We\u2019re still aiming\u00a0for a release this month, which means the next week will be critical for\u00a0identifying and squashing bugs. If you\u2019re just joining us, please see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/news\/2014\/07\/wordpress-4-0-beta-1\/\">the Beta 1 announcement post<\/a>\u00a0for what to look out for.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you think you\u2019ve found a bug<\/strong>, you can post to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/forum\/alphabeta\">Alpha\/Beta area<\/a>\u00a0in the support forums, where friendly moderators are standing by.\u00a0<b>Plugin developers<\/b><strong>,<\/strong> if you haven\u2019t tested WordPress 4.0 yet, now is the time \u2014 and be sure to update the \u201ctested up to\u201d version for your plugins so they\u2019re listed as compatible with 4.0.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This software is still in development,<\/strong>\u00a0so we don\u2019t recommend you run it on a production site. Consider setting up a test site just to play with the new version. To test WordPress 4.0, try the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/extend\/plugins\/wordpress-beta-tester\/\">WordPress Beta Tester<\/a>\u00a0plugin (you\u2019ll want \u201cbleeding edge nightlies\u201d).
