The release candidate for WordPress 4.9 is now available.<\/p>\n
RC means we think we\u2019re done, but with millions of users and thousands of plugins and themes, it\u2019s possible we\u2019ve missed something. We hope to ship WordPress 4.9 on Tuesday, November 14<\/strong>, but we need your help to get there. If you haven\u2019t tested 4.9 yet, now is the time!<\/p>\n To test WordPress 4.9, you can use the WordPress Beta Tester<\/a> plugin or you can download the release candidate here<\/a> (zip).<\/p>\n We’ve made almost 30 changes<\/a> since releasing Beta 4 last week. For more details about what\u2019s new in version 4.9, check out the\u00a0Beta 1<\/a>, Beta 2<\/a>, Beta 3<\/a>, and Beta 4<\/a> blog posts.<\/p>\n Developers<\/strong>, please test your plugins and themes against WordPress 4.9 and update your plugin\u2019s Tested up to<\/em> version in the readme to 4.9. If you find compatibility problems please be sure to post to the support forums so we can figure those out before the final release \u2014 we work hard to avoid breaking things.
