Question regarding the WooCommerce Featured Product filter in Pro

Folks, I am considering upgrading to pro to get access to the WooCommerce product filter so I can create a slider that only shows Featured Products.

My question that does not appear to be answered in the documentation is this:

Using the Product Filter to show only Featured Products, does the filter only filter when creating the slider, meaning that I must go in and refresh the slider each time the Featured Products change, or is the Featured Products filter dynamic and re-creates/updates the products in the slider automatically?

I need an answer to this question in order to actually upgrade my Master Slider to the Pro edition.
