Import WooCommerce Products

You can import product data from CSV files into your online eCommerce store. If the field names in the CSV file match the WP fields, they will be automatically mapped during the import process to ensure import accuracy.

How to Import WooCommerce Products

Step 1: Import WooCommerce Products by uploading the CSV file

• Upload the CSV file containing the product feed data you want to import.
• Ensure that the post type field is set to “WooCommerce Product”. If it’s not, select it from the dropdown menu.
• Click ‘Continue’ to proceed with the import.

Step 2: Map the required fields to the corresponding CSV headers

• The WP fields and CSV headers are shown side by side. Map the required fields to the corresponding CSV headers.

Step 3: Manage media uploads & Import configurations

• Choose an option from “manage media uploads” to handle media imports.
• To avoid duplicate content, you can skip the records with similar content, titles, or both.
• Specify the number of server requests based on the server configuration.
• Click ‘Import now’ to proceed with the import.
• The log for the current import is created with both Admin view and Web view.

1. Start by installing the CSV Importer & Exporter plugin.
2. Extract the import-woocommerce.zip file to the ‘wordpress/wp-content/plugins’ directory either using FTP or using the plugin installation feature in wp-admin.
3. Activate the plugin in the WordPress plugin list.

1. How can I Import Woocommerce Products?
   Import WooCommerce products by following these steps:

* Navigate to Ultimate CSV Importer.
* Upload your import file in a format like CSV or XML.
* Choose WooCommerce Products as your post type.
* Map your import file headers with Product fields.
* Click “Import” to run the import instantly.
* Finally, verify the import in both admin and front view.

1. Is there any limitation on file size?
   The size of the file is based on the Upload size of your server configuration. The ‘upload_max_filesize’ should be at least 2M. You can verify your system values in “settings -> security and performance”.

2. How to import product images?
   To import product images, you need to specify a separate field like ‘Product Image’ in your import file and provide the image URLs as the value. Image imports are done along with your product data import.

3. How can I Import Product categories and Product tags?
   To import product categories and tags, simply specify separate fields for each in your product import file and list the values separated by commas.

4. How to import product reviews?
   Importing product reviews is crucial to attracting visitors to buy your products. This WooCommerce Product Importer supports reviews import. Get all your reviews associated with products in your import file, upload it to the plugin, choose WooCommerce Reviews as your post type, and follow the import steps.

5. Can I include an external URL for image import?
   Yes, featured images can be imported from an external URL, but inline images can only be added through shortcodes.

   Inline images in the content can be included using shortcodes. The images in the shortcode need to be uploaded in a zip folder containing images with the exact names mentioned in the shortcode.

7. Why isn’t the import button enabled?
   The import button will only be enabled after uploading the CSV file for import. If it’s not enabled, ensure that the file is in UTF-8 format.

Plugin’s desctiption looks very nice but it doesn’t work. I bought it almost one year ago, but as I see, this plugin have simillar problems for last 8 years.

Me funcionó perfecto para la actualización de precios de manera masiva, solamente exporté SKU y Precio desde los productos de Woocommerce, los cambié en hoja de calculo numbers y luego lo volví a importar con los precios ajustados, y perfecto incluidas variaciones de producto.

Seems like a nice program with a good interface. Tech support answered ticket very quickly. Developer has produced no documentation so I had to guess how it works. After several hit and miss attempts, managed to import a few products. Tried reproducing the exact same steps with more data and it didn’t work. Tried various options, didn’t work. Program didn’t read the column headers correctly, often missing letters and adding new line feeds. Results were loaded and imported, but no products created.

Hard to use and no instructions

Looks like a good plugin when you first start but it’s a bit of a pain to use and there’s no FAQs… One bugbear is you can’t save your mapping easily, so you have to manually fill a lot of boxes every time you make a fresh import. It is also really hard to figure out how to do variable products.
