Installation

• From the WordPress Dashboard, select Plugins | Add New. Search for connectDaily and click on the Install Now button. The button will change to Activate. Click on the Activate button.
• From your WordPress Dashboard, connectDaily | Settings page, select the option to create a calendar, or enter the information for an existing connectDaily calendar.
• Go to a post/page, and select the connectDaily Calendar button in the editor’s toolbar. Follow the on-screen cues to select the kind of short code and insert it.
• To use one of the widgets, go to the WordPress Dashboard, Appearance, Widgets and drag the desired connectDaily widget into your widget area. Configure the widgets using the settings form.

FAQ

The calendar shows Monday as the first day of the week. How do I change that to Sunday?

In the WordPress Dashboard, go to Settings | General and change the value for Week Starts On to Sunday.

Some events are showing on the wrong day, or have the wrong time.

This is a timezone related issue. In the WordPress Dashboard, go to Settings | General and verify the value for timezone. If it appears correct, login to connectDaily and go to System | Configuration | Time Input and verify the timezone configured there.

I’ve updated my calendar, but the display in WordPress isn’t being updated.

The plugin uses caching to maximize performance. On average, events will show within 30 minutes. You can temporarily disable caching by going to connectDaily’s settings page.

This is an extremely helpful plugin that effectively replaces very expensive church calendar software CRM’s. Great for managing resources, events, meetings, etc. Has flexibility to combine or separate multiple calendars such as staff/maintenance/congregation/kids ministry. Flexible web-views make it easy to display only the content you want on your website. iCal feed option is great for adding our event calendar into our church App. We appreciate Connect Daily’s pricing and how we are able to configure it for our needs, and only paying for features we use. We’ve been using Connect Daily stand alone calendar online for several years. It’s an incredibly robust calendar platform that will do pretty much everything you would ever need it to. The WordPress plugin for Connect Daily calendar system is straight forward and super simple to get set up, to use, and to modify. George at MH Software has also been stellar in supporting his product. We had a caching issue which caused incorrect dates to display on our WordPress site. George was able to troubleshoot on our WordPress site and implemented changes to fix the issue. That’s personal service you don’t find elsewhere… even when you pay big bucks! I would highly recommend Connect Daily and their WordPress plugin!

Great Product, Even Better Support

We have been using Connect Daily calendars for quite a few years, long before we had a wordpress site. Now that we are using wordpress the product is even better. We have multiple calendars that different departments can use, including a master calendar. The features that this provides are exactly what we need and couldn’t be simpler to use. The few times that we’ve had questions, support has been very helpful to answer our questions, even if it isn’t the answer we wanted. I would highly recommend that everyone give this product a shot.

This is one of the few calendar programs that can import from a .csv file, which are easy to construct. If there is a problem, the error message tells you where to look. There are several display options to choose for your blog. I use two of them. I had an issue where the month view did not fill the page. Even though it was a css issue (not a calendar issue) they researched and provided the personalized fix for me. Outstanding service. Excellent calendar, GREAT support.
