Download Theme

Description

Download Theme allows you to download any theme directly from your WordPress dashboard. It adds the download link right on the theme listing page, on each theme, as shown in the screenshot.

1. Just activate this plugin.
2. You can see Download link on each theme box on Appearance page.
3. Click on any of them and that theme’s zip will be downloaded to your computer.
4. Cheers!

Download Theme Services

Download Theme now offers Theme Services. If you need expert help setting up your WordPress theme, simply go to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Help button in the top right corner, and click on Get Help Now.

Installation

1. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
2. Extract the zipped file and upload the folder download-theme to /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

Doesn’t work with one theme

I couldn’t use it because there was only one theme, so therefore, it wouldn’t show since WordPress has a different view for a single active theme.

Doesn’t export changes

This is great if you just want a copy of an unedited theme on hand, but any changes to the css stylesheet or the php, and the downloaded theme won’t import back. You essentially need to redo any changes you’ve made to the php, which makes backing the theme up fairly redundant.
