Installation

1. Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/gallery-for-ultimate-member directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress
3. Use the Ultimate Member -> UM Gallery screen to configure the plugin

How many photos can my users upload?

Users are able to upload an unlimited amount of photos.

Is it easy to upgrade to Pro Version?

Yes. You can download the pro version from Gallery for Ultimate Member

Where can I place the translation file?

The files can be placed in wp-content/languages/plugins/ with the file name gallery-for-ultimate-member-en_US.mo.

Does the media files get added to WordPress Media?

No. Files are added to a custom folder in the wp-content folder and are not saved as a post type but in a custom table.

Will there be video uploads?

There aren’t any immediate plans to introduce video uploads such as MP4 at this stage.

There’s no Gallery tab and no gallery field. It doesn’t work at all.

The plugin is very easy to use and works straight out of the box, I just wish there’s an options for user to directly upload mp4 videos instead of embedding YouTube. If there’s an option to upload mp4 I would pay for it.

Not Working As Advertised

Feeling a little ripped off here to be honest. I paid for this plugin based on what it was advertised to do. Found that it does NONE of what they claimed and it’s extremely frustrating to get it working properly. Nightmare plugin! Got NO support

Doesn’t show gallery icon on tab… Therefore, useless!

It seems to work exactly as I planned to use it on the demo, however, the plugin never shows the gallery icon/tab in UM. So therefore, users can’t actually upload or create albums with this plugin. A damn shame. Buyer beware.

It’s a good plugin

I tried the free version and was pretty happy with it. So I bought the pro version and have to say that the plugin does exactly what it is supposed to do: all features are exactly as described and work smoothly. I also had little difficulty with the integration of shortpixel AI. After the purchase, I also contacted the manufacturer with a few comments and got an answer just a few minutes later – even though I asked on a saturday! In short: I can only recommend Gallery for Ultimate Member. In terms of layout, maybe a few things could be improved. But I have the impression that the manufacturer takes his job very seriously and is constantly developing the plugin. As far as I can tell so far, he is also open to customer inquiries. So give this plugin a try – I think it’s well worth it.
