10. Where are the contacts stored? Is it self-hosted?

All contacts are stored in your WordPress database, i.e., yes, it is 100% self-hosted. We do not have access to your contacts and contact details.

I have been using the paid version of Mail Mint since spring 2023. I recommend using Mail Mint. If you send a question email to Mail Mint support, they will reply very quickly. Mail Mint is also excellent in basic performance. For example, if you use Mail Mint to register for a newsletter, after submitting your email address, an opt-in email will be sent to that email address. Then, by clicking the link in the email, you will complete your registration for the newsletter. In this way, the procedure of checking whether the email address is active impresses users that the website uses robust email software, and greatly increases credibility. As of October 2024, there are many systems in operation that do not send such opt-in emails when registering an email address. If there is no opt-in email, a third party can register someone else’s email address. Mail Mint has a system that impresses users that there will be no fraudulent registration of email addresses. You can also freely edit the text of the opt-in email. I use the WordPress Theme “Bricks Builder”, and the standard form of Bricks Builder and Mail Mint can be linked. When registering an email address for a newsletter, you can also set it so that users must check the privacy policy and terms of use. While there are many email marketing solutions on offer for WordPress, it is difficult to find one which can be operated directly from your own dashboard, and which does not have expensive limitations on either the number of contacts you can have, or the number of emails you can send. Mail Mint meets those criteria in spades, with unlimited contacts and unlimited campaigns.? The free version is very good, and for a very reasonable annual fee for one site, the pro version is even better. The email builder is easy to use, and the detailed contact information and campaign analytics are excellent features. As far as I’m concerned, it’s goodbye MailPoet and hello Mail Mint.

We deploy Mail Mint for many customers, both in e-commerce and for lead generation.In particular, to : dispense with external autoresponders (Mailchimp, Brevo, Acumbamail, etc.) for email marketing campaigns and flows personalize Woocommerce transactional emails (previously done via Yaymail) set up abandoned basket relaunches that convert create conditional campaigns (e.g. “we miss you” reminders to customers who haven’t ordered in x months).
