This plugin was nice and simple when it was working. But, it is still not working with WordPress 4.4 thru 4.5.
After two years with no updates. It’s safe to say this plugin is dead.

I used this plug-in in earlier WP versions, but in my most recent project with WP 4.4 it did not rename the files anymore. Before it was my preferred media renaming plug-in, although there were some usability issues.

I’m on the latest version of Wordpress at the time of writing (V 4.3.1) and this plugin still works perfectly.
Be sure to check the screenshot of the instructions.

I entered new name, click “Update” – nothing happened.
