Installation

Installation is simple as any other WordPress plugin.

Automatic Install

• Login to your wp-admin
• Navigate to Plugins > Add New
• Search for TNC PDF viewer
• Click on the install button
• Once installed click on activate now button
• Done, now start using TNC PDF viewer

Manual Install

• Download the zipped plugin from the WordPress repository
• Upload unzipped pdf-viewer-by-themencode.zip to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory or upload the zipped file using Plugins > Add New > Upload button
• Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
• Done!

Be careful – very expensive add-on’s

I ordered AND paid for this plugin to make our club’s online library more user friendly. The base works OK. But when I tried the function “bookshelf display” – my main reason for buying – it appeared I needed aan add-on for that specific functionality. I’m OK with extra payments, but this one was extreme. The plugin itself was $57 once, the add-on $200 yearly! CORRECTION after response from ThemeNode below: The add-on is $25 yearly and $125 for a lifetime version. Raised an issue to discover the “middle man” Envato just put that through to the developers. Almost one month later there is still no response from Envato or the developers. So be careful before buying: the basic functionality may be an expensive trap.

Trojan pages?

My anti-malware software (MalwareBytes) kept popping up a Trojan block every time I tried to access TNC setup pages. That’s not good. If MalwareBytes is mistaken – then I don’t know what to do about it anyway.

I added a pdf in the free version so I could check out, following the instructions in the documentation, but the URL and preview just returns to an unknown page 404.
