Where can I find my API key?

You should create an account here: https://popupmaker.com, then from your account’s section copy the API key and put it inside the plugin.

Where can I create popups?

The popups should be created in your Popup Maker account (not in the Popup Maker plugin). You can create popups with templates or create popups from scratch. After, you should connect the plugin to your Popup Maker account to generate the popup to WordPress.

How can I generate a popup in the Popup Maker plugin?

Your existing popups will be generated into the plugin as soon as you connect to your Popup Maker account. Every time you create a new popup in your Popup Maker account, you should “Refresh popup list” in the Popup Maker WordPress plugin’s options to add them here.

How can I add the popup to all my pages?

Under your popup’s “Edit settings” you can find an option “Show Popup On All Pages”. Check this option and the popup will appear on all the pages on your site.

How can I control the popup showing frequency?

You can select how many times you want to show the popup to the same user with the option “Show only once”, in the General section of Popup Maker dashboard.

Can I limit the popup showing for different devices?

Sure, in the Display section of Popup Maker dashboard, there’s an option “Devices”.
It allows you to decide on which devices you would like to show the popup: Show On Desktop, Show On Mobile or Show On Tablet.

Should make it clear that you need an account and API

I really hate these types of plugins where you need to make an external account somewhere to use. I don’t mind restricting some of the features if you don’t make an account, but to have to make an account just to use the basics, its not really right. These types of plugins should be be allowed in the official registry in my opinion.

Featureless “Freemium” Plugin

Out of the box, this plugin has no features until you sign up through their external 3rd party website. At which point you only get “21 days of FREE Trial before you decide to upgrade your license”. This plugin’s only purpose is to sell subscriptions since it has no features out of the box.
