It does what it says it does, but it also uses a preg_replace that removes every <!– comment –> in your html. So, for example, if you have old-time HTML comments in script blocks, your Javascript will be deleted, leaving empty script tags.

Yoast SEO too big and does too many things. I abandoned Yoast SEO and downloaded a few plugins to give me only what I need.
