Description

AMP pages are used by most search engines to show your website pages to mobile searchers. They are the first contact many users will have with your web site, and a large part of your search results will depend on how attractive and interactive your AMP pages are.

weeblrAMP goes well beyond standard AMP plugins. It lets you create a nearly complete AMP version of your site, as fully featured as the AMP specification allows: posts, pages, categories, tags and archives. Also built-in: ** comments (native and Disqus), Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, ads, schema.org, Yoast, Jetpack, Beaver Builder, Elementor or PolyLang integrations. Translated to French and Spanish.**.

The premium edition automatically converts Contact Forms 7, Gravity forms and WPForms forms, Mailchimp For WP, WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads and adds many other features.

weeblrAMP will operate out of the box with default settings and is highly customizable from WordPress admin.

Developers can override every bit of the AMP pages with templates overrides, as well as its 70+ filters and actions, fully documented on our site.

After activation

1. AMP pages are available already by appending /amp to existing URLs of your site. Search engines cannot find them yet however, as you are running in Development mode by default.
2. Visit the weeblrAMP -> Settings page to perform basic configuration, then switch to Normal operation mode, where search engines and other applications can see your AMP pages and use them.

Installation

Please use one of these 2 installations methods:

Installation from within WordPress

1. Visit Plugins > Add New.
2. Search for weeblrAMP.
3. Activate the plugin from your Plugins page.

Manual installation

1. Unzip the package you download from our site to your computer.
2. Upload the weeblramp folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
3. Activate the plugin from your Plugins page.

I have tried several AMP plugins and this is the most versatile one by far. I was able to convert 40 of the 44 post pages and traditional pages to AMP and make them look even better than the original pages. Also, upgrades I needed are very reasonably priced and all the pages validated perfectly.

Dangerous; Took Down Both My Website and the Server

While this looked like a really good plugin, and I was really excited to install it, it completely took down my site. At midnight, I found myself frantically emailing my developer praying that we could undo the damage. The problem was that I couldn’t even log into the Wordpress dashboard. My developer ended up fixing the issue, with a stern warning to not reinstall. According to him, it had created these redirect loops which took up all server resources. He ended up having to reboot the server, remove the plugin on the server-side, and do something with the PHP. In the end, it was a few tense hours and a two-hundred-dollar bill to get my site back up. Sadly, I’m guilty of not posting reviews when plugins work great (something I’ll be fixing now). I’ve also always been hesitant to post a negative review, preferring to mind my own business and have my own private opinions. But with what this plugin did to my site, others need to know. Buyer beware. While this might once have been a really great plugin, this was not my experience. I’m just happy that my developer was willing to sit back down at his computer at midnight to undo the damage this plugin caused (i.e., a total crash of my website due to it wreaking havoc on the high-end servers that host my website).
