shortening links?

Hi, first off, thank you for the support you gave me earlier.
I’m just wondering if I can tweak the length of the welcome message.
One, the a tag in the first link is not working properly and the whole first link is showing. I replaces the quotes with quotation marks and it still didn’t work.
Second, just wondering if there’s any way to shorten the links when getting a confirmation email or a welcome email for that matter.

Kindly change your email type to WP HTML MAIL by navigating to Email Subscribers-> Settings.
Also, I advise you not to use shortened links as it may result in your mail landing up into the spam folder.
