Dev environment with WP in subdirectory

I can only get the redirects to work by adding:

source URL: /my-site-name/my-source-url
source TARGET: https://www.example.com/my-site-name/source-target

But the source URL will be incorrect when putting the site live. Is there anything to be done about this?

Even if I put in the source URL https://www.example.com/my-site-name/source-url, it will just rewrite it as /my-site-name/source-url, which again, I don’t think will work when site is live, and URL becomes https://www.example.com.
