I am using WooCommerce 3.3.3 and when I have a cart totaling $0 once coupons are applied, the checkout button disappears.

@csquared89, can you tell me if you are using WooCommerce coupons or using some plugins? Also whats the version of Paypal For woo-commerce you are using?

I have the newest update of Woo and Paypal for Woo. I am using WooCommerce coupons and store credit, both don’t work when cart total is $0.

It is a situation that sounds identical to this:

Although, when the site is refreshed, the regular Proceed to Checkout button does not show up.

About the regular Proceed to Checkout button, I take that back. I had it hidden since I was using the PayPal for WooCommerce plugin, and it does actually show up when the PP for Woo button disappears at a cart totaling $0

@csquared89, Sorry for the delay in response, Can you tell me if you have Express Checkout ( EC ) As the only payment option enabled on your site? Also do you have EC button disply on cart page?

    Thread Starter csquared89

    (@csquared89)

It is the only option I have enabled, and the button displays when an order is above $0 but when the order is free it does not show up anymore.

Yes, that how it is supposed to be, when you have no amount in cart or total is 0, then there will be no payments involved. That order will be treated as free, so EC buttons will be hidden and normal proceed to checkout button will display.

I have tested this on my test site and its working as expected.
Are you saying that, those 2 buttons are hidden but then proceed to checkout button dont display at all?

    Thread Starter csquared89

    (@csquared89)

I am saying that when a payment is involved, both buttons are visible and I only want 1) the EC button to be the only one visible when payment is involved, and 2) the regular proceed to checkout button to be visible when no payment is involved.

Typically, as long as one other payment gateway is enabled along with PayPal Express then the Proceed to Checkout button will be displayed along with the EC button (if the EC button is enabled on the cart page.)

So if you’re seeing both buttons then it sounds like you have some other payment gateway enabled besides EC alone. Can you please double check that?

Also, I’m a little bit confused because at first you were saying the button was not showing up, and now you’re saying that both buttons are showing up. Can you take screenshots or a demo video of your experience that we could review?

    Some pictures are here: https://imgur.com/a/J6JAd

It is the only option enabled, as shown in the last pic in that imgur album.

I am wanting only the orange checkout button (which is the EC plugin) to be the only one visible when a payment is required.

Is there a way to get this fixed?

@csquared89, I’m so sorry for the delay in response. Well we dont have any such report of double buttons showing so something seems to changing the behavior, it could be from either a plugin or theme itself because I have not able to reproduce that on my local even the way you have explained it. So, can you switch to basic twenty theme and see if you get this working? Also keep other plugins disable and check it again if you get this working? If so then enable those plugins one by one to see which plugin might be doing that?

    (@csquared89)

I tried with a basic twenty theme, and the problem is still there. The regular button is there, above the EC button, when the cart is > $0.

Is there not a way for the EC button to process orders to mywebsite.com/checkout, when there is a cart with a $0 total?

The issue is that when a person makes the total equal $0 via free shipping and coupon code, and then selects a shipping method that adds cost to the product.. the double button issue arises.

I have even tried it on a fresh install of WordPress with twenty seventeen theme and Woo and PayPal as the only plugins I activated, on my local computer, and the same thing happens.
