I’ve recently launched a password protected page on my work’s website and distributed the link and password to the people I have allowed access to it.

Two people have said that they have had trouble logging in, however I haven’t had trouble logging in, our hosting company says that there is no technical issues and none of the others who were given the password have told me that they are having issues. I’ve informed everyone that the password is case sensitive and I asked these two people whether they had their CAPS Lock button on, whether their number keys were working correctly, whether they pressed the space bar at any point, and they all said no.

One of the two people has tried to log in using Internet Explorer 11, the other with Firefox.

Could there be any reason for people having trouble logging into a password protected page? For example, would they need to clear their cache or internet history? Could it be a browser issue?

Any guidance and information would be greatly appreciated.

If only 2 visitors are experiencing this issue, it’s very likely that it’s related to their browser / cache / other individual issues.

Try and let them log on to the page using their browser’s icognito modus. This disables their local caching.

Hi @lucasprigge, thanks for replying. So basically get them to try logging in using private/incognito mode?
