    Plugin version Version 4.4.1

The shortcode generator doesn’t work for me any more. When I click the puzzle icon it generates a warning that I am leaving the page, and then takes me to an entirely different page with all options — I can check boxes but the Generate button doesn’t respond to being clicked.

Here are the errors I saw recorded in the console:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'EditorManager' of undefined
        at Object.init (tiny_mce_popup.js:1)
        at tiny_mce_popup.js:16

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'isIE' of undefined
        at Object.restoreSelection (tiny_mce_popup.js:4)
        at Object.execCommand (tiny_mce_popup.js:4)
        at Object.insert (shortcode-form.js:1)
        at HTMLInputElement.<anonymous> (shortcode-form.js:12)
        at HTMLInputElement.dispatch (jquery.js:1)
        at HTMLInputElement.r.handle (jquery.js:1)

Unfortunately I don’t know when this started because I am not editing the site that often.

    Hi Abigail,

So far I have been unable to recreate the issue. The console errors appear to be after the form has loaded in another page.

Could you provide the following information to help narrow this down:

    1. WordPress version you are using
    2. Console output from the page before clicking the puzzle icon

    Thank you

    Mat,
I am using the latest wordpress version, WP 4.9.4

No errors are shown in console before I click the puzzle icon

But as you said you could not replicate I tried a different site and did not have the problem, so I think it must be a conflict with the theme or a plugin.

What I see happen now is that when I click the puzzle icon, the popup briefly appears, but then it redircects to a full page form–and as noted the Generate Button does not work that way, so of course the short code isn’t being entered.

I have tested by disabling some of my plugins but wasn’t able to find the conflict, and I really do not have the time to debug by going through all possible plugin conficts.

I have several other plugins that also have popup forms for entering shortcode tied to the menu, and all of them are working without a problem. It is just this plugin. Do you have a list of known conflicts anywhere?

    Hi Abigail,

Currently there are no known conflicts with the plugin. When a conflict with any of my plugins is found I work with the developer of the conflicting plugin to take care of it.

If you can narrow it down to a plugin, that would be really helpful. I would love to fix the issue.

    Cheers

Mat, I understand but this is a on a busy site and I simply cannot take the site offline right now to go through the process of debugging, and I have no idea which of many plugins could be the source of the problem. I have tested some that I thought were more likely to be causing issues.

I wanted to report the problem in case others were having it, but I can manually enter shortcode if I need to.

If I do discover more information, of course I’ll let you know.
