Hi there. I have used this plugin many times and it is really helpful, however i have had it default back three times now within 2 weeks and loose all of the customised settings. I am assuming it is a plugin or theme conflict but thought I’d check if anyone else is having similar problems or know the fix before digging into finding the problem. Thanks.

Is this on a regular site or a Multisite installation? Multisite is more prone to a specific type of database corruption that can cause problems like this.

Thanks for replying so promptly. A regular site.

Take a look at the wp_options table in the database. How many ws_menu_editor options are there? Usually there should be exactly one row with that option name. If you see more than one, backup (export) your settings and delete all of the ws_menu_editor options except one.

If there’s only one entry, that’s normal and probably not the source of the problem. Have you noticed any similarities between the situations where your settings were lost? For example, did it happen after backing up or moving the site? Was it after installing or updating a specific plugin? Did you ever do a find & replace on the WP database (some search tools can accidentally corrupt serialized data)?

Thanks for all the support and advice. Just the one ws_menu_editor file so all good there. Now that you mention it I have noticed a couple of small things. Namely, clicking to activate/deactivate and it would refresh but nothing had changed. I just thought it was my fault for not hitting the right button.I migrated the site with All-in-one and it has only happened since then so you are probably right it is a database issue. I have just checked the database and it is showing an internal error concerning “Zend_Controller_Exception: Permission denied.#0” so following up with the host as I need a bigger (smarter) brain than mine on this one. Thanks again.
