Help with editing Front Page in elementor

Hello. I have a theme, Shopisle, and I love the front page design. However, I am unable to edit it with Elementor. I use a static front page, not a blog page. Can someone help me?

Here is the error message I receive:

“Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. you must call the_content function in the current template in order for Elementor to work on this page.”
