How can I match Stripe / Woocommerce transactions with bank account deposits?

    I am using Woocommerce + WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway and I don’t see how to match up deposits in my bank account with Woocommerce orders. The IDs just don’t match up in any meaningful way.

    EG In my bank account I see a stripe deposit labeled “STRIPE E8H5F7” but I don’t see this reference ID anywhere in stripe or woocommerce.

    All of my plugins and WordPress are up to date.

    Sorry if I am understanding you correctly, then that is not what this Stripe plugin does. It does not record any activities that happens between Stripe and your bank account. It only handles the activities between your website and Stripe.

    Statement Descriptor is just a name/title. If you entered a value for that in your settings, that gets passed to Stripe.

    OK I suppose it’s more of a feature request then. I’d like to be able to match up woocommerce orders with Stripe bank deposits. I thought maybe this could be done via an auto generated Statement Descriptor. Thanks

    This is a really big problem for us. All the transactions on stripe are just a mass of random codes. It’s taking quite a lot of effort matching up our bank transactions with purchases.. Do any of the other payment gateways have this issue?

    This plugin does not handle deposits in to your bank account, that is setup in the stripe dashboard.

    Also stripe does not deposit funds for every payment received, it will make payments on a rolling basis to your account, so not sure how you would expect this plugin to upload an ID which will show on your bank statement!!

    You really need to export your payment information from the stripe dashboard to reconcile your deposit amounts against orders received, the stripe CSV export will show the woocommerce order ID number against the payment information.
