Pages not caching

  • Hi,
    I installed WP-supercache on this site yesterday, and for some reason the pages are not caching. I ran the cache tester and that came back OK. When I check in the delete cache area, there are 0 cached files.
    What might I be doing wrong. I don’t have much php knowledge, but if I need to make a change somewhere I’d be able to do it if you can say what I need to put where.

    Hi Ahmed, thanks for your reply and for the tutorial. I followed the instructions, but it is still not working correctly – even using advanced settings with MOD rewrite. The issue appears to be that the caching works inconsitently. I am checkign the site using toolbox.seositecheckup One moment it says the site is cached, the next that it is not…

    Still having problems with this. Has anyone got any ideas please?

    You should enable the debug log in the plugin and look at the log after loading a page on your site. The log should tell you what’s going wrong.

    Hi Donncha, thanks for your reply. When I go to open the log file it asks for me to enter a username and password. I’m not sure which user and password it wants. I have rtied with my wordpress logins and also my ftp logins but neither are accepted. Where can I find these detials?

    OK, so I have disabled and reenabled wpsc and now I can see the user/password I need to login to debug. ??

    So apparently my theme has a missing closing tag. Does anyone have any ideas how to locate it? I’m guessing it could be anywhere…php or page content?
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Same here.
    It’s cached only 42 out of about 77 pages/posts.
