    THere is a simple 5 slide slider on the page indicated. 4 of the 5 have URLs attached. The URLs do not work. Nothing happens when you click.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @plarkin,

    It looks like you have a plugin “bwp-external-links”. Can you disable that for a moment and see if it works?

    It’s disabled now and doing the same.

    Hi,

    I can see the links in there, but something is messing with the url and styling.

    Or is this the URL you typed in?

    redirect-to/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fbasdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.usliberty%2F2018%2F03%2F08%2Flibertys-neary-selected-as-an-emperor-science-award-winner%2F

    That is the URL syntax that the “bwp-external-links” would create. But that is now disabled across all sites.

    Hi,

    Looks like some styles are interfering. Try adding this:

    .metaslider .flex-control-nav {
      bottom: auto !important;
    }

    Thank you. Sorry, where do I add this? In the actual WordPress file?

    Hi,

    You would add this to a stylesheet. If you don’t know where, you could try this plugin which has good reviews and looks to be updated regularly:

    I haven’t used it, but it looks like you just create a CSS file within WordPress.

    CSS seemed to have no effect. I created a test slideshow just to see if the webmaster entered something incorrectly. I added 5 photos and with basic URLs.

    Slider URLs do not work at all. They used to work. Did a new update to WordPress break it?

    Hi @plarkin,

    Thanks for setting up the test page. I don’t see the custom styles I posted about above though. Are you sure they added correctly?

    When I manually add them to the page through the developer console then the links work as expected.

    Could you try adding it again? Thanks

    (@plarkin)

    Sorry, I added it to the “custom.css” in the theme and enabled that file via the theme. I also added it to the main theme css file.

    Should it go into a plugin CSS file?

    Hi @plarkin, I see it in there now. Are the links not working still?

    The links ARE working. Thank you very much!

    That’s great to hear! ?? I’ll mark this as resolved then. Open a new issue if you’re having any more problems.

    By the way, if you’re enjoying the MetaSlider plugin please leave us a 5-star review. They really help us out. Thanks!
