image rollover for link

I am looking for a tutorial or an example of a rollover technique which will do the following:
*image goes here* *link & link text go here*
If the user hovers over the *link text* the image to the left of it will change.
note: I do not want the image to be a link though, only the text.
Is there any way of doing this in css? or do I have to opt for javascript or dhtml?
