    Hi,

I’m going crazy. I cannot add an image to an article. The Add button simply does nothing. WP, theme and plugins are aupdated.
under article editor, I can switch from WYSIWYG to HTML : no problem
I overwrite all WP files : same problem.

I tried to disable most of the plugins : same problem.

Under firefox, F12 is not always giving the same result but here is what I have :
“JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 1.4.1
    load-scripts.php:9:542

    SyntaxError: expected expression, got ‘<‘
    mediaelement-and-player.min.js:1

    SyntaxError: expected expression, got ‘<‘
    mediaelement-migrate.min.js:1

    Deprecated TinyMCE API call: <target>.onInit.add(..)
    plugin.min.js:1:76”

All other things seems to be OK.

    I’m pretty new in WP.
    Thanks for help.

I tried to disable most of the plugins : same problem.

    – try deactivating ALL (yes all, not “some”) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s). The easiest way is to rename that folder to mu-plugins-old.
-If that does not help, try switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Seventeen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
    – If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    Hi,

you were right. ALL was the solution. The problem was from WordFence but why ? …
And a stranger thing after deactivating all and turn on WordFence at the end, all was OK…

Sometimes, we just have to pray to get it works.

    Thanks for help ??

I recommend asking at https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/wordfence so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.
