Google reCaptcha with Ultra theme

    Hi,

    I want to add a captcha to the comments. I installed Google reCaptcha plugin, but it doesn’t display automatically. On the side it says to use the shortcode [bws_google_captcha] where you want it, but I can’t because I need it before the “post comment” button.

    The plugin’s author has a page that says why it isn’t displaying automatically: https://support.bestwebsoft.com/hc/en-us/articles/202352479-Google-Captcha-reCAPTCHA-is-not-displaying-on-my-comments-form, which implies that I may have to edit code to do this, which I prefer not to do.
    If this plugin can’t work with Ultra, can you recommend another plugin that does? I just used this one because I’m using google’s reCAPTCHA with contact form 7 plugin.

    Sorry, ignore this. I’d delete it if I knew how. I think that since I was logged in when I tried to test the captcha, but I have set it so that admins aren’t shown the captcha, when it didn’t display I thought there was a problem, but it was actually doing what it was supposed to do.

    Ugh,

    I’m having trouble with the Google captcha plugin. I thought it was because the url changed when I went live, but now I’m not sure. I think the options have changed, and it wants me to put some code before the </head> tag, which I don’t remember having to do before, and some other changes as well.

    Do you have another suggestion?

    Hey Terry, sorry, I’m not sure. If you need to insert a script or similar into the head, one way is to use https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/insert-headers-and-footers/.
