Jigoshop

  • Well, A lot of the great features I like about the old Jigoshop were taken out. Example of this was the check box to allow the client to indicate that the billing and shipping are the same. This feature was very convenient. Another problem is the register check box which if checked still does not pop up other boxes to allow the client to create their own account on our site. Tracking orders was also taken out. Sadly this version feels like a strip down version of the old one with some improvements to the look which aren’t that great to began with. I’m seriously already thinking of moving to woocommerce plugin which offers a lot more features.

    We’re sorry you feel that way about Jigoshop eCommerce. It’s a new – and improved – version of the old plugin, with some new takes on quite a few of the functionalities, offered previously.
    With this in mind – on a standard theme – the “Different Shipping Address” checkbox works similar to the checkbox in the previous version – just the other way around. The registration checkbox is below, and clicking on it results in showing a form to register.
    Tracking orders was – in Jigoshop 1.x terms – obsolete, so we decided to remove that as a separate feature and include parts of it on the “My account -> Orders” Page.
    Maybe give Jigoshop eCommerce another try? You might’ve missed a few features ??
