• Hello, with the Max Mega Menu, I am looking to create a full width drop menu for each menu item, using the Flyout layout. The drop menu needs to have 2 columns.

I tried this with the Mega Menu layout but I need the sub menu items to align with the top level links.

To see what I am looking for, please view an example image at https://ibb.co/jotNSH. The image shows the menu in static and hover views.

Is this possible with the Max Mega Menu?

    Thank you.

    Hi Kmbee,

I’m sorry, but that’s not possible with MMM.

The sub menus are not aware of the position of their parent item. I suspect on the screenshot you’ve shown that they’re using custom JavaScript to move the position of the sub menu contents to align with the parent item, as the position will need to change depending on the width of the screen.

    Regards,
    Tom

Thank you for your reply Tom. The image was just a mock up of what I would like, and not an actual screenshot.

Would it work using a Flyout menu with the background color extended full width?

I see in the FAQ, that sub menu items can be distributed over multiple columns.

    https://www.megamenu.com/documentation/how-to-distribute-sub-menu-items-over-multiple-columns/

So can I use a Flyout with multiple columns and then extend the background color to be full screen width?

    Thanks again.

    Hi kmbee,

Those instructions apply to mega menus only (there’s a note at the top of the documentation).

Only mega menus can have a background that extends the full width of the page. You could add some empty columns to the sub menu to push those items over, but they won’t be perfectly aligned with their parent item.

    Regards,
    Tom
