• I am unable to search for plugins manually, and the ability to search and download different themes is not working. I am also given an error every time I install a plugin or uninstall a plugin(even though the plugins are still successfully being deleted or installed).

    1. What might that error be? (My mindreading cape is at the cleaners.)

    2. What happens when you search for plugins? What does “not working” mean? (See above re the cape.)

    Deletion failed: \{“success”:true,”data”:{“delete”:”plugin”,”slug”:”google-sitemap-generator”,”plugin”:”google-sitemap-generator\/sitemap.php”,”pluginName”:”Google XML Sitemaps”}}

    This is what happens when I try to delete plugins.

    When I try to search for themes, I get this:
    An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

    You have an problem with either the file ownership or permissions. How are you hosting your site?

    Thanks for you quick responses, I am hosting using a raspberry pi, I am currently trying to enable the WP_DEBUG tool, but their seems to be no debug.log created. I’m sure the debug log would be useful for this situation. At the moment I am trying every possible way to enable to DEBUG tool. I will report back with the log!

    I have fixed the plugin and theme issues! It turns out I wasn’t updating the permissions as I should have. But on to an even more important note, the debug log isn’t being updated, I’ve went to the extent of creating the debug.log file and giving it permissions before the reboot.
