• Hi,

I have followed the steps to manually authorize the Facebook feed. After enabling the feed, FB returns the following error:

Access to this data is temporarily disabled for non-active apps or apps that have not recently accessed this data due to changes we are making to the Facebook Platform. Learn more here: https://newsroom.fb.com/news/2018/03/cracking-down-on-platform-abuse/

Can’t use the plugins authorization either as it keeps on returning the ‘Application request limit reached.’ error.

    Thanks
    JP

Hello, please try to re-create FB app. As for our app, check this doc https://docs.social-streams.com/article/133-facebook-app-request-limit-reached

Hi, unfortunately it doesn’t work to create a new app.
You can create the FB app, but as soon as you enable the feed, FB returns this error message:

Plugin received next error message from network API for this feed:
(#200) Access to this data is temporarily disabled for non-active apps or apps that have not recently accessed this data due to changes we are making to the Facebook Platform. https://developers.facebook.com/status/issues/205942813488872/

I realize it’s a FB issue and not a flow flow issue though.

    Thanks

Hello, Facebook has changed privacy rules for apps after serious data leak. Using of own applications have more limitations now and can be deprecated in future. Please use our app for authentication https://www.dropbox.com/s/i10uigid8ihnhwj/2018-04-16_20-31-43.png?dl=0.

Hi Oleksandr, I do but there are two problems with that one:
    1) There is a request limit. I have seen this error quite a few times: ‘Application request limit reached.’ error.
    2) It needs re-authentication every once in a while. That’s totally fine, but I only see the warning when I am logged in to the website and visit the page with the flow flow stream.

What do you think of the idea to send an email to the WP admin when one of the feeds runs into an error (including the error you also see in WP)?

    thanks
    JP

I just received the following email from Facebook about the Facebook App that I created to get an App ID and Secret for the sync Events addon.

App Review required by 1 augustus 2018 to retain existing permissions and features

The Facebook App Review process and API permissions model have been updated. Meer informatie.

In order to maintain your current API access, your app will need to be submitted for review by 1 augustus 2018. If your app is not submitted for review, you will lose access to these permissions and features.

    user_link
    user_gender
    user_age_range

The Facebook Platform APIs have been updated with these changes. Please review the Veelgestelde vragen to ensure you request the correct permissions and features with your app review submission.

If access to the permissions and features is approved, the app may need to be associated to a verified business to complete App Review.

Do I really need to start approval? Or is this something that will be taken care of by an update of the plugin? If I do have to start the submission process, which features and permissions do I need to select for the plugin to work again. These are the choices:
