    Hello. Thanks for the support!

I keep getting error: “Payment error: “There was a problem processing your payment. Please try another method.” However, every credential is correct so I don’t know what could be the issue. Please check screenshot here: https://prntscr.com/j2ioa8

    Thanks!

Do you have logging enabled in the plugin settings? Can you provide a copy of the log file for review?

@angelleye: I also had this message three times today. But the customer was able to pay. According to PayPal FAQ this happens when the user had to change the payment method because of an issue (e.g. insufficient founds).

Another question: Can I configure this plugin in a way that it send these notifications also to another email address (webmaster/technical support)?

Yes, with the logs we could see the actual error code, which is what I was wanting to verify. It sounds like you must have gotten error code 10463, which happens when the funding source chosen is no good, and it would then send the user back to PayPal to select another funding source and try again. It sounds like that happened, so you got the error email, but the customer was returned, chose another method which worked, so now you see the successful order.

Right now those emails are sent to the admin email set in WordPress, but I will add this feature request to be able to change that email separate from the WP admin email in our 1.5.0 update.

    Hello. Thanks for the support.

Below find the error the system emailed me when the transaction does go through. I think it has to do with authentication, but all the credentials are correct even after double checking with Paypal. I tested the same credentials in other plugins and they worked.

“PayFlow API call failed. Error Code: 1 Detailed Error Message: User authentication failed”

@williamews, that error is very specific, and it always means there is something wrong with the credentials. It sounds like maybe you’re sending live credentials to the sandbox or vice-versa..?? Please make sure you have the plugin set to live mode if you are using live account credentials.

    Hi. Thanks for the support!

Just to keep you updated: The issue was that I was using the credentials for the wrong Paypal payment service. I was supposed to use “Paypal Advanced” but I was trying to use “Paypal Payment Pro (PayFlow).

    Thanks again for the support!

@williamews, I did see something like this not long ago, and it turned out to be an issue with account verification. Is your PayPal account and PayPal Manager account fully active and verified?

If you’re fully verified and you are absolutely sure that you are using correct credentials then we’ll have to reach out to PayPal to get their feedback on what’s going on. All we can do is pass over the credentials as entered, of course, and if they’re not accepting that then they’ll need to tell us why.

One thing you might want to try is creating a new user account specific to APIs. So you can create a new user and give it the API_FULL_TRANSACTIONS permissions. Then use that account credential in our plugin and see if it works for you.

If that doesn’t work, then again, we’ll need to reach out to PayPal directly to figure that out. The best way to do that is submit a ticket with https://www.paypal.com/mts.

Ah, yes, they both use the PayFlow gateway but they are separate products. Glad you got that figured out.

If you have a moment to leave a review for our plugin it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
