    Let’s say I have 20 FTP folders worth of images.

    Would there be an easy way to get Sunshine to take a set of defaults (pre determined in settings) and ingest each folder as a gallery?

    I imagine there may be a setting file in each folder like:

    Gallery.prefs

    Password=passw0rd

    And for security, the ingester script could automatically delete the prefs file to keep security of the password.

    If not built into WordPress, could there be guidance on doing this via a bash script?

    The workflow I imagine is:

    1/ shoot pictures and organize into folder name galleries. Add the gallery.prefs file with the gallery password if needed.
    2/ ftp upload each folder to the uploads/sunshine folder.
    3/ run this script that loops through each folder: applies the default settings for s New gallery, adds the images, sets the password and expiry date, and moves to the next folder, repeat until complete.

    Is this possible? For someone with bash and MySQL would it be allowable per the license to write or contribute on my own?

    Thank you in advance.

  • This is not yet available in Sunshine but I do have something very similar on my To Do list. I can’t say when I will get to it.

    This could definitely be created as a Sunshine add-on (this is how I intend to do it when I get to it).
