• I just upgraded to 2.0.5 after backing my site up. All installed and I did the Database upgrade as requested. I have seen a couple of problems:

Login Button does not follow Ultimate Member Rules:
When I looked at the site from the Admin account I noticed that the Login Button in the Main Menu was showing when logged in. I checked the Ultimate Member settings under the Appearence-> Menus and it showed that it was only to be displayed to “Logged Out Users”. I deleted the Login Button and re-created it. After logging out and logging in again it still appeared.

    Creation of New Users:
When creating a New User and logging in as them I noticed that UM2.0.5 assigns a different Role than other existing members. All other existing Members have two roles, where the new member has only one ‘Member’. Also, the new member is not able to see any of the Role Based content, even when I change their role.

I have since restored my backup and returned to v1.3.88 for the second time in two days due to these versions being unstable.

This Plugin has been great up until now, although I really need a stable version before upgrading again.

  • I can confirm the login|logout options both displaying when the user is logged in. this needs to be fixed, Callum. I love UM will still use 2.05 but login thing needs to be fixed in next release. along with the flawed user roles and permissions people seem to be having despite what browser they are using.

I can also confirm that the “Logged Out Users” menu visibility setting is broken. Logged in users can see these menu items.

The “Logged In Users” option still works just fine.

Hey @dmurs7 can I have you a couple Question? how to do the rollback to v1.3.88? I want to do it to, but everytime I did it. I would have 2 Ultimate Member plugins and it didnt run properly.

@nicodemus89 I did see that problem as well when going back from 2.0.4. I did a full backup (WordPress, Plugins, Uploads, Themes and anything else). After this has completed and you get confirmation of this then I went to FileManager and went to the Plugins directory and deleted the Ultimate Manager directory called Ultimate Manager v2. When going back to the WordPress Dashboard and looking at your plugins you should only see the v1.3.88. If you don’t then I would do a restore of your backup to get back to where you were.

When I restored back from 2.0.5 to 1.3.88 it worked perfectly, no two instances of the UM Plugin.
