Issues with Localhost -> Filezilla -> GoDaddy transfer

  • GoDaddy support helped me get my site up from localhost to my GoDaddy hosting account. Unfortunately something went wrong during the transfer because the site is missing most of it’s content. GoDaddy says they can’t help me unless I pay for a wordpress support package for my account (I can’t afford to do that). So now I don’t know what to do and thought I might find some advice here.

    Some additional information regarding the transfer process
    – Backup was made of WordPress Folder containing website
    – In PHPMyAdmin…Database associated with website was exported to a .ZIP file
    – Filezilla was linked to GoDaddy Host
    – Default WP-Content Folder was replaced with Wp-Content folder containing actual site.
    About 10,000 files were moved over.
