Email HTML not working

Hi,
I just noticed that the html email templates don’t work. I wanted to reset my password so I went through the process and when I got the email, the html was just displayed like this:

What does this mean and what can I do to fix it?
Also, when I tried turning Email HTML off, the html code stayed there.
