• I am having a whole host of issues as well.
Sadly this upgrade has really not gone well.
I do hope the developers can sort things out:
    – No automated setting of UM role which leads to new members not being able to update profile (I can set WP role)
    – defaults to WP login/reg page which is not desired as it won’t capture full members infos
    – I re-ran the upgrade and get some DB error AJAX thing

Not very happy to have such a backward step on install

    Hi,

Sorry for the issues. Can you please contact us via our site:?https://ultimatemember.com/contact/sales/?so we can add this to our helpdesk system and help you with these issues.

    Thanks

This new update is absolutely ridiculous! My image slider is no long compatible with my site. Which is the very important. It’s the first thing people see when they visit my site. And now the Google reCAPTCHA is not working properly. I’ve had over 60 fake email accounts register for my site in the last 48 hours. Guys PLEASE provide a way for us to install the previous version until this one is fixed. The Google reCAPTCHA set up is not even available to modify now. If a tech support person reads this my site is glacierbid.com.

    Here are my workarounds:

    1. wp-admin redirect not working – I have a ‘login’ link on my site that instead of going to /wp-admin it now points to /login i.e. the UM login page
    >> but this does NOT prevent someone accessing /wp-admin which is what all of us are looking for… CAN YOU FIX THAT OR BRING IT BACK?

    2. default membership group causing issues (like not able to edit your own profile) –
    a. in WP Settings / General I make the “New User Default Role” = Member
    b. in UM Settings / Appearance / Registration Form I make the “Registration Default Role” also = Member
    >> You can see what Member Role can do under UM User Roles menu on the plugin.

    3. I have bbPress and bbPrivate Groups installed, and these plugins have issues with the Change Role / Change Forum Role bulk actions on the WP AL Users page. I don’t know how to fix that. Basically if you set a Site Role and bulk update it wipes out the bbPrivate Group role, and also loses the old UM Role. Experimenting here (on one user, and also with single edit) helped me find the workaround in (1)
    >> THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED, THE PLUGIN SHOULD NOT DO BAD THINGS TO OTHER PLUGINS/SETTINGS

    4. I followed the link on other threads to ‘fix’ the non-HTML emails. This should have been automatically done in the upgrade!!! What happened guys?

    Hi,
I also have lots of problems since I upgraded to version 2.x
The main problem is that users can’t edit their profile anymore.
But also, on the profile, the uploads of images are not showing up.
Obviously, the plugin needs to be fixed urgently since lots of people have their site broken since updating. (or let us go back to last version please)

Thanks in advance for your prompt reaction.
PS : I also have the non HTML emails issue

I also have lots of problems. Its auto approving accounts and not working right.

Yes, auto approving and basically the whole login/registration/logout process has been trashed. The developer has ruined his reputation with this release. I am looking for an alternative plugin now as this is just amateur hour.

I remove the new version and went back to the previous version before all these problems but it’s still not working correctly because the sites that are supposed to be Only for memebers are open to all even after i selected the right memebers. I have a feeling there is another change in the database that needs to be changed.
