    I installed a new version of this plugin (3.4.12), where the problem of “Invalid e-mail” message should be fixed. It is indeed fixed and I see “Invalid e-mail” no longer.

    Sadly, clicking Submit just does not do anything. Like, anything.

    I tried this in Opera, Explorer and Firefox. No way.

    I reverted my plugin to 3.4.8, the last functioning version I know of.

    PS My subscription routine is set to request clicking a confirmation link sent by e-mail.

    @mariankechlibar,

    Sorry for inconvenience happened.
    Have you got the success message after submitting form?
    If yes, then have you received unconfirmed subscription on your subscription dashboard?
    If not, then what error you have got.
    It will help us to understand issue better.

    Hi,

    no, nothing happens. No success message, no unconfirmed subscription on the dashboard, simply nothing. Clicking the submit button does nothing.

    @mariankechlibar,

    Have you get some error on console?
    If you can update your Email Subscribers to the latest version so that we can check this issue.
    Just for sometime update the plugin.

    Hi,

    This is exactly what is happening to me. I just posted another thread “Subscribers don’t get welcome email” with more details about my situation. Somehow i missed this thread.

    Peace,
    Dan

    Same problem, update to 3.4.12 doesn’t work.
    No message, no mail sent and no new subscriber on my list when i submit form.
    Again the same error on console: “TypeError: jQuery(…).bindFirst is not a function”
    I have already explain the problem in previous message…
    I still keep the previous version (3.4.9) that worked well.

    Hi,

    I don’t get any messages in javascript console, error or otherwise. Tried in Safari and Chrome on macOS.

    I don’t have a copy of previous version so i am stuck with 3.4.12. I looked around online to download 3.4.9 but no luck. Any chance developer can give us a link to download a working version of 3.4.9?

    Peace,
    Dan

    @danielmelnechuk

    You should install and invest in this plugin for your exact issue. You can easily (but with caution) rollback to a previous version if you have issues when updating. It is very handy to have.

    Hi @slothwx,

    Thanks so much for the info! I would install that immediately except that it is not tested with 4.9.5 — says only tested up to 4.8.6 on plugin page. I usually wait for the developer to say tested with the version i’m using… quirky i know. Once it is tested with 4.9.5 i’m in.

    Peace,
    Dan

    Hello, good day.

    I had the same problem, but I use multisite.

    I solved the problem with the following steps:
    1) I went back to version 3.4.9 using Wp-rollback.
    2) I disabled the plugin on the network.
    3) I entered the specific site and activated the plugin there.

    I followed the steps in this link: https://www.icegram.com/documentation/es-how-to-install-and-activate-plugin-single-multisite

    Hi @alecardosof,

    Good day! Are you using WP-Rollback with WP 4.9.5? The WP-Rollback plugin page says tested up to 4.8.6.

    Hi @danielmelnechuk,

    Reality, I’m using WP 4.8.1.

    Bump.

    This is also happening to our subscribe form.

    #REPRO:#

    • Enter email
    • Click Subscribe
    • Page refreshes, no error message, no success message, nothing
    • No new user on the “Subcribers” list
    • No emails received on the subscriber’s side

    I was wondering if it’s because I’ve styled my form differently.

    Has anyone tried to test the form on a stock theme, and unstyled plugin?

    @mariankechlibar, @danielmelnechuk, @complicword, @slothwx, @alecardosof, @vmercader ,

    Do not revert to older version of Email Subscribers as it had security issues. Please update to the latest version 3.4.12.

    What error you all are getting when someone tries to subscribe via form?

    It could also happen that some other plugin or theme is conflicting with Email Subscribers plugin. So to find out temporarily de-activate all other plugins except Email Subscribers and switch your current theme to default WordPress theme (2017).
    Then try subscribing via subscribe and check if it is added in subscribers list.

    If it works, keep activating other plugins one-by-one and then your theme to find conflicting plugin/theme.

    Let us know your views after testing.

    To be honest I am afraid of messing with my production site, which has 3000+ visits daily, and I do not have any other site that I could use as a sandbox.
