I ran a lighthouse test on my site after installing the PWA plugin and my performance score dropped dramatically. The “main” issue was not lazy loading the SVGs, which I believe are coming from the PWA plugin since we don’t use them anywhere else: https://www.screencast.com/t/V3y8p1YrK

Is this something that can be improved through the plugin? I installed a secondary lazy loading plugin, but that didn’t seem to help target the SVG files in PWA.

    Thanks

p.s. Also, is there a place/link to donate?

  • Hey @jeffreygaudette

Thanks for trying out our plugin.

Please forgive me if this sounds obvious, but can do the same test with SuperPWA disabled? (Disabling will delete the service worker and the manifest. )

The reason I am confused is because of this GTmetrix report – https://gtmetrix.com/reports/runnersconnect.net/7o2u4ir4#waterfall

Its tested on Firefox 54.0.1 which does not have any support for service workers. If you check the waterfall tab, you will notice that the svg’s are still loaded.

If that is not the case, then I have never seen this before and I need to dig a bit more to figure out what is happening here.

    Looking forward to your feedback.

    Hey @jeffreygaudette

Did you get a chance to take a look? Please let me know if this is related to SuperPWA or not.

    Looking forward to your feedback.
