Acceptance checkbox not working properly

  • Hey there,

    I have encountered a problem using the acceptance checkbox. I want to use the following within several contact forms:
    [acceptance acceptance-584] text with hyperlink [/acceptance]

    To generate an error message, if the box is unchecked I added “acceptance_as_validation: on” to the additional settings. If the box is uncheckt the error message appears correctly.
    But if I am now checking the box and submitting the form I get the following error message:
    “Unknown error (timeout-or-duplicate). Please contact an administrator for more info.”

    When this error appears, the message is not sent. If the box is checked at the beginning the form works properly. Is there any possibility I did something wrong configuring the form? And so a chance to resolve the issue?

    I don’t now whether it is of importance but I am running the form together with Better WordPress reCAPTCHA (2.0.3). WordPress version is 4.9.5 and CF7 version 5.0.1

    Where can we see the site? What other plugins and theme do you use on the site?

    You can see the site here. The other pages are blocked, as the page is primary used for testing.

    I’m using tempera as a genreral template customized by a child theme and long list of other plugins. For checkboxes with comments I use WP GDPR Compliance, but it is deactivated for CF7. Deactivating WP GDPR Compliance had no effect on the issue as well.

    In the meantime I encountered, that the problem is not bound to the checkbox. The problem occurs with each empty required field even if no acceptance box is set.

    I run a short check on our primary page with the same configuration / plugins and it seemed to work there. As it was just a test I had to remove it from the official page after testing.
