PLEASE ADOPT THIS PLUGIN

  • This plugin hasn’t been updated in 6 years, hasn’t been tested beyond WP 3.4.2, and the developer no longer responds to support questions. It’s a useful plugin, particularly in combo with Better Section Navigation. It deserves a home where it will be updated and cared for.

    I agree wholeheartedly. This is a great plugin, but it needs a minor update to bring it up to speed. It doesn’t seem to come up in the plugins search, and I only just stumbled upon it.

    It also works with side menus such as BE Subpages Widget which uses wp_list_pages, not just navigation using standard functions wp_nav_menu or wp_page_menu.

    I got it working on WordPress 4.9.5, PHP Version: 7.0.28, after editing line 92 of the plugin by changing:

    $parent = & ep_get_page( $page->post_parent, $pages );
    to:
    $parent = ep_get_page( $page->post_parent, $pages );

    (Note: removed “&” before “ep_get_page”)

    I hope this helps for people wanting to still use this plugin on the latest WP.

    I would also vote for someone to take this one on! Maybe someday I could…

    Yes please, other plugins dont work as well as this even on modern installs!
