Hi, thanks for this plugin which I am relatively new to.
So I tested some of the security settings on a staging site, and when everything worked as expected I imported the site onto my live site. At some point I realized that the htaccess file was either not imported or otherwise had been changed/written over. (Does resaving Permalinks do this?) Anyway, the plugin settings though still THOUGHT that all the old various security settings were enabled, even though they were not reflected in the current htaccess file. Is that normal? I had to upload the old htaccess file via ftp. Or is there another recommended way to restore the htaccess file via settings currently enabled in the plugin? Thanks.

    Hi,
Next time when importing to another site try deactivating and reactivating the plugin. That should trigger the writing of the .htaccess rules.
I might also revisit the importing process to see if I can improve it slightly regarding writing to .htaccess after an import event.

    Ok, thanks!

Come to think of it, when importing a site, it might be on a new server where some of the old htaccess rules do not apply (or could even break the site). So it is good that these are not blindly copied.

Maybe there could just be a button somewhere to regenerate the htaccess file according to the current plugin settings.
