Show most Favorited/liked Posts made by everyone sitewide

Does anyone know how to show a list with thumbnail of the top 6 (or whichever #) post types with the most favorites/likes made by all type of users site wide? Is this possible using Shortcode and/or Javascript? Does anyone have any examples?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
