Since today, when I update a post, the page goes blank and the address bar stays static.

To go back to the post page, I click the back arrow.

However, I am able to publish a new post, and it does get updated on the site too.

Usually, after I click the Update button for a post, after a few seconds the screen automatically goes back to the post page that was just updated, allowing me to make further changes, if required.

Please let me know how this issue can be resolved, and if it cannot be resolved, should I ignore this matter since the updates are getting through to the site anyway, and could I continue to use wordpress.

  • Hello @srilanka123,

I did some searching to see if I could find anything to help you out with this! One of the first things I’ve seen is that it sounds like it could be something within a theme or plugin.

    Could you try
    1) Disabling all plugins and see if it works?
    2) If that does solve it, enable plugins one by one to see which plugin is causing the issue. If you find out which one it is, it would be helpful to reach out to them on the plugin’s support page here and let them know the issue!
    3) If no plugins are causing the issue, try switching to a default theme and see if it’s still happening.

If it’s not any of those, it could be some related to PHP memory, where you will need to update the wp-config.php, here’s some more info on the PHP memory limit!

    Hope this helps,
    Kevin

    Hello Kevin,
Thank you so much. The problem is resolved. It was the plug in – Auto Post to Instagram. Will report the issue to plug in support page.
    Regards,
    Sheik.
