Odd URL when going to Page

  • I had earlier issues in Ultimate Member so did a total reinstall. I am still having issues after working on this for over 3 days.

    I am getting a odd URL when clicking a page on my menu bar. Normally I get something like:

    https://www.myresapp.com/student-2/

    and the page displays….

    But on some I get:

    https://www.myresapp.com/login/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.myresapp.com%2Fstudents%2F

    and then a page with a title of Login, the users name and two links, one to Account and the other to Logoff.

    There is one page that all roles get the odd URL. There are also pages that for some roles (I have 4 set up in UM) they work and others I get the odd URL.

    I have tried the conflict test multiple times. I would like someone from the UM org. to respond. This is a site I am trying to get to production and have wasted a lot of time. I might just have to use a different plug-in.

    Hi @paulgw1,

    The page with username and account/logout link will show up when you to go to the registration page with already logged in user.
    Can you please clarify what page you are trying to access?

    I was trying to access either the Students or Chat page, both have this issue. I tried using each of the 4 roles I have set up. Three get this odd URL for both the Students and Chat pages, the ‘student’ role can get the Chat page but not the Students page.

    It’s critical we get this resolved as we re trying to go to production.

    Hi Paul,

    if you go to dashboard -> UM -> user roles -> edit

    then go to login|logout options.

    you can assign where their login|out pages go after login and logout for each user role.

    1. Home
    2. Custom URL
    3. Refresh active page
    4. Redirect to admin
    5. Redirect to URL

    I have those set to login redirects to profile, logout goes to home page.

    I now see all roles have all WP Capabilities set on. I try to reset those but they don’t change.

    I really need some guidance. This is getting critical!

    ???I’m not aware of a first warning and was not trying to solicit work. Just trying to get an answer to my problem and have been frustrated about it. My objective was not to violate any rules just to get my site working so we can go production on time. My apologies if I misunderstood.
