UM 2.0 user role change without notice?!

While I admit that this is a great and free software, I really don’t like the fact that you made such a major change without showing a hint or an alert after upgrading to UM2. It’s almost a week after the upgrade we were not aware that user roles have been reset to default settings. How about an alert box after the upgrade like “Hey, dear UM user, you need to update your user role settings because we know you have customized user roles”?
