Not allowing login after install?!?

On my server I installed wordpress via Fantastico, and have not been able to login to the Admin portion of WP. I am aware that there have been numerous issues with this addressed in the Forum area, but I have yet to solve the problem. First of all, I asked it to create the username, and set a password for that username. That will not allow me to login either. Secondly, I have tried deleting all cookies, and that didn’t work either. I feel it necessary to point out that because of canonical SEO, I have a redirect setup on my domain so it redirects an input such as theglobalguru.net/wp to https://www.theglobalguru.net/wp. I wondered if this may be the issue. I will not change this because it is important for search engine optimization. Please help!
