I use newspaper 8 by tag div, using their dark theme, and i’m struggling to find any way to have the event calendar display. i have tried the 3 different settings, event calendar, theme and skeleton, and can’t see a difference with any of them. have tried the usual cache flushing etc between changes. should i at least see some change? am i missing something?
i’m no css pro, but i could follow a step by step tutorial if anybody can point me in the right direction – but i wonder if that should be necessary – i have the feeling that one of these three settings should let enough of my own theme style through, or override it enough, to display satisfactorily.
as it stands i’ve just got white backgrounds on all of event gallery areas such as find events and community add event, with white text entry.
    any help gratefully received.

  • Hey there @gibbsyns3,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Something that I would give a try would be to change your default template setting under Events → Settings → Display to default events template. That should make the events page readable for the time being.

As for customizing the stylesheet, our Themer’s Guide is a great reference to get The Events Calendar all polished up!

    Take care,
